![]() ![]() Supplied by guitarist Barry Stock, the riff showcases him as being more than just your everyday guitar player he's part of the vanguard of new ax wielders hailing from Canada. ![]() The foremost example of Three Days Grace's sound can be heard in what happens to be their first single, "I Hate Everything About You." The track opens up with a solemn acoustic guitar intro, which is accompanied by slick drums and ripping bass lines. Almost every single song from the Three Days Grace track list is heavy and catchy, with chewy chunks of assurance and fury thrown in for added measure. Most of their increase in popularity is a direct result of the relatively smooth sounds of their self-titled debut (well, it's smooth compared to the music of other nu-metal contemporaries). These dudes have spread their sound all over the land of opportunity quicker than a spilt glass of milk will cover a blue carpet. ![]() Norwood, an undetectably petite town of only 1500 people, is apparently perfect fuel for the creative minds of Three Days Grace. The latest emerging force in this new wave of sonic popularity comes straight out of Norwood, Ontario, Canada. They're springing up left and right, flooding out of every crack and crevice in the western hemisphere. But here in the new millennium, we're presently in the time of the nu-metal band.
